I’ve had situations similar to this but often it’s someone nitpicking as a way to try and get a discount. I try to make it a point to test the locks and function before I remove them to point out to customer upfront that it may need to be replaced or any other issue so customer cannot blame it on me. Sometimes I get in trouble from my wife in the evenings because after a long day sometimes I’m short with customers that are getting on my nerves.
